Chickens don't like change. Can you post pictures of your nesting boxes as they are set up in the coop now? They do like a bit of privacy when laying their eggs.

.These are their nesting boxes. I found the eggs this morning. The boxes where on the sand floor and we moved them yesterday afternoon. Seems to me they did not like them so low...maybe?

I would put a piece of plywood or something in the bottom that is more solid and add more bedding to the boxes.
