Hi everyone! We are from Canada and New to having chickens. We have 6 Poulets that will be a year old in April and have been trying to introduce a young rooster to our flock but are not having very much luck. They really don't seem to like him and have even plucked out his back feathers till he starts to bleed. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

Hello, and welcome! Can you put the cockerel in a section of the pen where the hen's can still see him, but are unable to get to him? This will give him time to heal up and mature a bit more, and the hen's will get used to seeing him there.

I agree with those saying put the cockerel where they can see him but not reach him for a bit, and will add that a hen saddle may help his feathers grow back a bit quicker
