I’m in Idaho and just got my first 2 hens!
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I’ve never had chickens before. I have thought about it. A friend of a friend had to rehome their hen due to her being too noisy for her neighbors and the HOA where she lives. I was asked if I wanted her and I said yes. Lol
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? She gave me the noisy hen and a smaller one so she has a friend.
(3) What breeds do you have? They are both Red Sex Links.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I have no idea yet. Lol
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I have house rabbits and dogs and 2 male ducks. I like walking, landscaping, gardening, welding and being outdoors when the weather is nice.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’m retired. Married.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
. I bought a cute coop on Facebook marketplace and the nice lady I bought it from referred me to this community because I’m a newbie.
