Not sure if I ever left a welcome post. Another couldn't hurt.
My family and I live in Washington State and have roughly ten chickens. Two welsummer roos, one Easter Egger, two rainbows, two Rhode Island reds and three silkies.
I spent the whole summer building my coop while raising the chickens in my garage. It was a long process but they did great and now love their coop. I'm positive I will be coming back to this site for advice here and there.
So far we have lost four. Three were sent to the farm for being aggressive roos and one was an accident for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Daughter was devastated.
Thank you everyone for your help and for welcoming myself and my family to this great forum.
