Kinda interesting, my normal morning routine used to be this: drag my tired self downstairs to let the dogs out, go for my run, shower, study, check out the news, start chores, work on research/write, then prep for the paycheck part of the workday.
Now: let the dogs out, check on the babies in the brooder whom are griping to go outside, open the access door of the roosting part of the coop to free the pre-teen girls. Add the babies, change food/water, get distracted by their antics resembling children let loose at a theme park, and all with a smile on my face.
