Hi, my name is Deidra. I am a blessed wife to a wonderful husband, a blessed mom to 4 kids 7 and under, a blessed and baptized believer of Jesus. I live on 5 acres in Edmond, OK and we have decided to raise chickens. We bought 13 chicks.....a mixture of Rhode Island Reds, Production Reds, Black Sexlinks, Silver Laced Something, and some Brown Leghorns. They are about 4 weeks old, I think and they are doing great. My kids spend most of their spare time in the chicken coop holding chicks. It has been a great experience so far. I'm anxious to try letting the chicks out in our yard and seeing how my dogs will do. If they will not let them live in our yard, I will let them free range in our other 4 acres and see how that goes. Wish us luck! I really appreciate all of the information on this site! I have spend the last month reading questions and answers, and it has been so helpful!
