Hello, My name is Casey I'm so glad to find a site like this just blossoming with information. I have just recently started raising chickens again. I stopped a while back do to a horrible incident with my dog killing half a dozen chickens. Anyways I currently have 7 buttercup straight run and I'm waiting for markers on their gender but I think I half 4 soon-to-be hens and 3 soon-to-be roosters. I have 7 Rhode Island Red pullets, 2 horses, 2 miniature horses, 22 quail Texas A&M ( aka White Coturnix), about a dozen cochin assorted breeds, and one chick I'm not sure what breed or gender, I got about a dozen assorted eggs from a friend and only one of them turned out to be fertile. I also have two dogs and one cat. I want to start breeding my quail but they should be just reaching sexual maturity and haven't laid any eggs yet. I'll be adding pictures in a little bit.
