I just wanted to check in and introduce myself. My name is Joe, I'm married and have 4 great kids and 2 grand kids. My wife and I both grew up on farms and have just started raising chickens again. So far we have 12 red sex links, 1 white leghorn, 3 silkies, 2 reuan ducks, and 2 some other kind of ducks the grand kids picked out. We also have 2 cats and 3 dogs, and a horse that isn't ours but just showed up one day and has stayed in our field ever since. All of our chicks and ducklings are between 2 and 3 weeks old. Everyone is really excited about the new additions to our family. I look forward to reading everyone's posts and getting new ideas about chickens.

Great that you have gotten back into chickens. Once they get into your blood, it is hard to get all those feathers out of your system!
