My name is Margo. I'm 42 years old and I'm from Best in the Netherlands, Europe.
I have two lovely, if a little shy, backyard bantam Wyandottes, soon to be joined, hopefully, by a couple of Australorps. Both Wyandottes are broody and the tiny little incubator that I got secondhand has been behaving on its test-run. I'm getting the eggs tomorrow morning, so eggcited!!!!
Apart from my Piri-Piri and Madras (My husband wouldn't let me call them McNuggets and Kentucky Fried - too obvious for the kids) My household consists of said husband and my girls of 8 and 9 years old, 6 cats, the dog, 2 gerbils, a turtle and lots of fish. We used to have bunnies as well, but they got killed by a predator, most probably this huge stray cat that I've seen prowling about.
That's about all I can think of that could be interesting for you, any questions please ask.
I hope to have fun and be educated reading stuff on here, especially since this is the first time I'm hatching my own :)

love, Margo

Welcome to BYC!

This is the place to be when you own poultry. Good luck with your hatching as well!

Great to have you aboard and enjoy all your poultry adventures!

thanks all for welcoming me!
I got the eggs yesterday. In the evening I shoved three under each chicken, the rest of them in the incubator, a total of 15 eggs.
This morning I noticed the chickens had accepted the eggs. I got out all the other eggs from under Piri-Piri, but my bigger girl Madras wouldn't let me and I didn't want to disturb her too much. Afraid she has her little bantam body brooding over 9 eggs now... I'll just have to wait 'till she leaves for feeding and exercise

So far so good, now to keep my fingers crossed for a couple of weeks (imagine doing housework or anything like that lol)

I think your good hatching vibes will come in really handy drumstick diva :)
