Good luck with your first show! I show chickens, too, and always have a great time.

We're glad to have you.

Good luck with the first show!

Here is a good link on going to your first poultry show: http://pathfindersfarm.com/Showing.html

You may also want to check out the Breeding and Showing section of these forums: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/16188/exhibition-genetics-breeding-to-the-standard-of-perfection I'm sure that there are some other Serama, Silkie, or Orpington breeders or exhibitors on there that will be happy to help you out!

We'd love an update this weekend on how well you do!

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

I have never shown birds before so I am of no help here! But I do wish you all the best of luck in the show circuit!!

And welcome to our flock!

Will the seramas be table judged? My friend has two serama hens, there's a lot of chicken in those little packages. She also has silkies. Had a lovely Buff orp who sadly morphed into a rooster and had to be rehomed.

I'm not sure. Never done this before. It's my state fair so I think they might be cooped.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I don't know a lot about showing birds, but you might want to post some pics of your Seramas on our Exhibition and Breeding to the Standard of Perfection section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/16188/exhibition-genetics-breeding-to-the-standard-of-perfection and take advantage of our experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in showing your Seramas, and in getting your Silkies and Buff Orpingtons.
