Hello everyone! I'm Eva. I have 16 chickens and 3 ducks, and I live in Alaska. I've had chickens and ducks for 3 years. (Geese and turkeys temporarily) This is our family account so I may not be the only one posting.My favorite chicken breed is Orpingtons and I also like Silkies. I've hatched chickens and competed at the fair. I've always liked BYC and my family finally decided to join! I am looking forward to learning more and sharing what I know.

Welcome to BYC, Eva! Glad you decided to join our flock. My family and I have visited Alaska on several occasions and love it there. I've raised both Silkies and Orpingtons over the years (still have Orpingtons) and they are both wonderful breeds; friendly, calm, and gentle. My children made lap pets of them.
