hi! first batch of meat chickens, don't know what to do.

    Hello. i am getting a batch of 30 meaties on Tuesday , but i cant get the brooder to stay at the right temperature. help![​IMG]

    Is your brooder in a room with stable temperatures?? If it's in a garage or basement or ???? the temperatures can vary alot through the day and a heat lamp cannot keep up with it.

    Sorry that I have no brooder experience, just hatches under a broody hen. However, as you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

    I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
