Hi... I'm a mother of 7 & wife of 1 (lol), my 10yo dd was born for farm life... A friend of hers has a bunch of baby chicks and now she wants one. My husband was raised on a farm a bit when he was young, but I have always been more of a suburbanite. We are planning on getting some chicks this year and I am going to b the one mainly in charge, but my dd will b doing most of the work once she learns. Now I have to learn so I can teach her. Anything and everything y'all can teach me or that I can learn in the simplest of layman's terms would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 

Hekkooo!! In some ways there is so much to learn, but really, it's kinda easy. Shelter, food, fresh water. So much easier than children!
You can spend hours and hours and hours reading stuff on here. Whatever you need to know, any question you might have, the answer is here. And if you can't find it, you can ask.

The learning center is a good place to start your research. Good luck with your chickies! You will be surprised at how quickly you will start saying "I like chickens"

My best advice.. Get a few ducks too!
