Hi from a new member

That's the way

I understand that I stand them pointy end down but if you gotta stand them pointy end down so would laying them out on a towel pointy and down or standing them in something pointy end down vertical if you know what I meab

Hiya I'm in the UK too. I've just hatched some chinese painted quail that are 3 weeks old now and half way through incubating a second lot. I used a quail egg box to settle the eggs pointy end down before putting them in the incubator but I'm guessing you dont have one so you might have to improvise. You could use tubs filled with bubble wrap or cotton wool or something to prop them pointy end down. How many eggs are you incubating and what kind of quail are they?

I am incubating 9 Chinese painted quail and 1 Italian quail I received them this morning ordered 12 but 2 broke in transit :( left them in the box they came in pointy end down for a few hours so sat in incubator now first attempt so who knows what will happen ;)

Good Luck! You will learn a lot from your first hatch. I know I did!! and I read a lot of conflicting information between sites but you just have to pick which you think will work best for you and your set up and stick with it and see what happens and learn from it for the next time. I only intended on hatching one lot but wanted to do another one straight after lol

Does anyone manually turn there eggs ??? How often do you find works best
