Hi all,
Got the egg machines a few weeks ago, decided they would be happy ranging, oops, have had to fence off the veg as the veg don't mind being enclosed but the girls don't.

Sounds like the little rascals discovered your veggie garden. Yes, you will have to fence off anything you don't want chewed to bits. BTW welcome to the flock

I have 3 birds,
one Rode Island Red, cross.
one Gold Speckled cross
one Sussex Rock cross
I went for cross breeds as they are meant to be hardier and better egg machines. hahahaha

I did not relies how nosey they are, and that they will follow you around, The Gold Speckled (ging) will come right up to you if you are weeding and will pick anything she sees.

So far they are great fun and we don't have many preditors to worry about
