Hi everyone
Yep, I'm a newby to this forum. I've a couple of old Isa Brown (egg laying machines) and one Plymouth Rock called 'Fraggle'. Sadly, my lovely Sussex Light called 'Pavlova' died suddenly last Wednesday. We think she possible choked on her food - very rock 'n roll - as she was still laying eggs and looking so healthy the day she died, aged two. Now Fraggle has gone broody, and a local breeder has promised me some show quality Plymouth Rock Light Barred eggs which I will pick up next Saturday, so Fraggle can be a surrogate mum at last.
For your amusement, I've posted a photo of the late Pavlova coping with a 46+ degree C heatwave. She stayed in the water for 10 minutes.
