Hi! I am a new chicken addict. Every week I go to the feed store to see what they got in. Since they require a minimum of 6 chicks for purchase I tend to get at least 6 new chicks each week. (Plus then I realized that the other feed store gets them, too!) I have 1 rooster, 6 hens, and about 50 chicks. 4 eggs are due to hatch on Friday, and I have another several eggs on order. Breeds I have include: RIR, RI White, EE, Wyandotte, Welsummer, Marans, d'Uccle, Sebright, Rosecomb, Bantam Cochin (some Frizzle), Silkie, Buttercup, Australorp, Polish Bantam, Sussex, Black Sex Link, California White and a few mysteries. I love my dogs: 2 Black and Tan Coonhounds, a Border Collie, a Whippet, and an Anatolian Shepherd. I've loved dogs my whole life, but I was really surprised at how much I love my chickens! I'm a homeschool mom to 5 great kids, and I'm married to the greatest husband.
