Oh, I love her website. I can not wait to see the new gardening book coming out this christmas! Here are some pics of my welsummer's and their eggs.

As you can see in the egg pic, they lay some beautiful eggs! The two far right eggs are theirs, and then the other two are just there for comparison.

Hi Krystal and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. Congrats on your new flock - a cursory glance suggests to me that your barred bird is a male, but you will get confirmation on the breed / gender forum.

Aww she is beautiful, I love all the variations in the markings on the welsummers and with their lovely dark eggs you can tell who laid those eggs. I've just got home with two silver laced wyandottes and a platinum sussex about 4 weeks old, hopefully one of the wyandottes are female and the guy said he thinks the sussex is a female. I really need to build their bigger coop now!
