Hi from Australia

Lo
Good morning, Sarah, and welcome to BYC. When we first moved to our home (54 years ago) the crows were knocking the lid off the garbage can and strewing garbage about. I padded the jaws of a trap and set it on top of the garbage. Next morning all 'H' broke loose as I caught a crow. Crows everywhere circling and complaining. When they saw me all left except the trapped individual. I explained that his behavior was unacceptable and released him. That was the end of the mischief. If you trap/shoot one leave it on display. Crows are smart and stay away from areas where they perceive danger. Good luck in educating them.
l the shooting part has not worked they are way too smart for that I swear they sence the danger even the trap has not worked they are on too me but I will leave it set and let them take a few eggs and get a sense of false security then bam they’re mine as I watch now they are trying to figure how to get to said eggs without going into the coop the cheeky devils I will just be patient
