Hi! I'm Sarah and I live in Bellevue, NE. I'm excited to learn all things chicken!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We do not have chickens yet. I'm in the research phase. We want to be well prepared before committing.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None yet. But hope to start with 2 or 3.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We are looking at Orpingtons to start.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I'm not sure. The more I research, the more excited I get
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, crafting, video games.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I are child-free cat parents. He works from home in learning and development, and I'm a self employed nail tech. We have two grey tabby cats that we lovingly refer to as the Tabby Gang.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been trying to research requirements for chickens in my city and have been having trouble finding information. I found this forum in my search and thought it would be a good place to be.
