Welcome!

Congrats on your new family members; it sounds like you are enjoying discovering that they each have their own little chickenality. I will be surprised if one day passes without Betty, May and Lucy giving you a reason to smile or chuckle; chickens are such little characters.

I hope you enjoy BYC; not only is it overflowing with lots of useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures about chickens, turkeys, duck, quail, Peas and pretty much any other feathered and non feathered friends

Thanks everyone for your welcomes!

I am also in Down Under.

My husband thinks I have gone mad. He thought I would end up the crazy cat lady but now he thinks I am the weird bird woman.

When we moved here I was scared of magpies and someone told me if I feed them they wont swoop me. So I have fed Maggie and Pie for 2 years and about 2 months ago they presented me with Baby - so I am a feathered grandma.

So between the Chookie Lala girls in the back yard, and the Black and White family in the front yard. My feathered friends keep me smiling all the time.

Cheers, from Ted
