Will be new to keeping chickens, none yet. In the past we had a couple ducks and parakeets, but only been able to enjoy visiting a friends chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
none, getting some hatching eggs and chicks soon. I'm really looking forward to it.
(3) What breeds do you have?
n/a
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
online searches to find out about breeds.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Needlefelting, candle making, vegetable gardening, art stuff, dolls, ABJD, (and reading manga but I didn't admit that)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband, son and I moved into our first house in fall 09 its an almost 100 year old fixer in a semi rural setting, its close enough to the city without being in suburbia (no I do not miss that) So I got more room to grow food, but like the house the yard needs a lot of work but its getting there. The chickens will be a great addition, as pets and for their eggs (and their fertilizer lol, I do a lot of composting too)
