We are proud owners of three lady layers - buff orpington, black sex link, and plymouth rock (at least we think?). We bought them as chicks about five years ago and enjoy their individual personalities and "chatty-ness." They get along swimmingly with their siblings - two dogs and a cat and pretty much have full reign of our backyard and garden area. Although during early garden planting we "try" to keep them out.
