Day 14
I was candling for 1st time. I'm a newbie and so i open my little giant incubator and UGH! almost gagged. This putrid smell. There was a green egg that had black or yellow goo on it. I candled, and there this blob that just moves around the egg. What should I do?

Welcome CakePrincess21... I am in So. Calif... I have never hatched eggs in an incubator... I have one Cochin that gets broody, sits on and hatches whatever I put under her... I usually get three of four, or four of six hatch rate with the little mama. If an egg is "leaking", smells bad, etc.. I would guess the "embryo" would die. But, I have never had an egg leak or stink. I have had eggs die and not hatch... and, I only know to set them aside and not put them in the trash until trash day, due to the heat.... and I was told they can explode? And, they smell really bad as they rot in the trash can.
I would suggest you use the Search here, on BYC, regarding hatching in a incubator and see about the correct temp and humidity, turning, etc. Good luck.
