Here after a long night of a very loud chick...
We've had layers and meat birds on and off for 15 years, have two hens and 2 roos now (one roo in a pen separated) and recently lost a lovely hen who despised the (now) separated roo so much that she stayed out of the coop a night last week to avoid him. I heard a hen cry loudly in the middle of the night, and went out with a flashlight to look around but saw nothing. Next morning, she was the missing bird.
So we recently incubated and hatched out 7 chicks, and that has brought me here today, as one is having troubles I can't yet figure out.
