Hello. I’m Magnolia Poulailler
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No but yes as an adult. We had chickens as kids and I did some 4H with them growing up.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
I’m guessing a mix of black austrop, buffington, maybe Rhode Island Red, and I’m hoping a zombie
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Pest control. I love them as babies to cuddle and ours our for eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I’m a mom. I like to bake and homemade a lot of food. We go to church. Just really down to earth and staying in my peace.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m a vet tech for over 10y. I have 3 kids. I’m married. We have dogs and a cat. And I foster with a rescue
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
just today. I looked up chicken info and you guys came up and I love these type of communities to ask questions and learn.
I’m from a little corner in Texas. We just started our little chicken coop. We wanted to start a small homestead in our backyard so our first project is our little coop. We just got our first 10 chicks. A straight run. Will probably post to see if we can help with identifying breeds. But can’t wait to learn from yall. Thank you
