Hello all,
I grew up with chickens, but boy how it changes when you are older and actually "want" chickens. Suddenly, you feel feel you need to know everything quickly.
My son and I bought 6 pullets from TSC--they are about 4 weeks old. We have no idea what they are....
Yesterday, we went to a breeder nearby and bought a grown pair of (supposedly) black bantam Cochins....but, Cochins they are not. I'm hoping that someone will be able to help us identify them all. The lady seemed to tell me what I wanted to hear....but, hopefully, it was not a purposeful deception. My hope was to get a bantam breed that I could breed for show babies and maybe experiment with some color.
Anyways, looking forward to hearing from you all--and, if anyone is nearby and wants to educate me, via phone, that would be a help.
