thanks again:D for the warm welcomes everyone! Chicks are doing great still. there is one that really likes me already. He flys to the top of the rubbermaid tote to greet me when I walk in.

I assume its a roo cause only him and one other are developing a comb on their heads and he is a bit bigger than the rest. Now if the weather would cooperate i could get out and build that coop! plus I still need the snow to melt in the yard. I probably still have 2 feet back there!

Plus you may have roos because they do develope their combs/waddles earlier than the gals. I would love to see your chooks when you are able to take some pics.
 
HI I saw this thread and wanted to comment. My family might be relocated to Anchorage area and I would like to know how people raise chickens up there. Are there certain areas where you can have them? Or are most areas deed restricted so you can't? And what do you do in the winter for them?
