Hi, my name is Jamie. My husband and I just got the first new memebers of our flock. We have two 3 ½ week old ducklings. We live off grid on 5 acres in eastern Tennessee.
We're still developing our homestead and hope to have a large flock of ducks, chickens and guinea hens. This website has been so helpful already.
I look forward to learning and maybe someday, helping.

One is a Pekin, I'm not sure about the other. It's brownish and yellow and a bit smaller.

Mine fallows me around the yard talking the whole time and if I run they run after me.

I recommend getting Naked Necks—they’re my favorite breed of chicken. They are calm, easy to catch, and love people. All of my chickens laid eggs 5–6 times a week!
