We started our chicken adventure this July we (mostly I) decided that we might as well have chickens, we have a farm and plenty of room! So we purchased a small chicken coop box kit, put it together and bought our first 2 chickens (Ladder & Transformer) off craigslist the next day. Since then we have added 8 more chickens and are currently about to finish an upgraded permanent coop.
We spend most of our spare time enjoying the outdoors with our 6 pit bulls, 3 of which are specialty search and rescue dogs. I am also a dog trainer and have been doing pit bull rescue for almost 13 years. When I'm not working with my own animals I enjoy my membership on our local humane society board of directors and helping animals of all kinds furry, feathered,domestic or wild.
I work nights as a 911 dispatcher, so don't be surprised if I creep around here in the early morning hours
