This is my barred rock, about 4.5 weeks old.

I think it's definitely a cockerel. Bummer because my kids love him but we can't have a rooster.

and here is my easter egger that I think might be a cockrrel.

Don't give up on them yet. The body shape of the BR does make you think roo but the leg wash says girl. The EE is also non male coloring.

On the BR I am looking more at the early wattle development and delayed feather development. This one barely has tail feathers. My other BR is very fluffy.

This EE doesn't have the fluffy feathers behind the legs and just looks a little more like a roo than my other ones. Also it's really mean to my buff orpingtons.
