(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes I’m a newbie! I actually don’t have chickens but I have ducklings!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 4 ducklings! 3 are 1 week old and the youngest is 4 das old!
(3) What breeds do you have?
My ducklings are Pekins!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching them grow! They get so big so fast! They are so entertaining to watch! I also liked the aspect of being able to have our own eggs!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m currently in school so I don’t have too much time on my hands right now since I work full time and between my 3 dogs and the ducklings they keep my hands full!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I currently work for a foot and ankle specialist but I’m in school for medical coding and billing! I also have 3 dogs all of which are girls! They keep me on my toes! I currently just bought a house with my other half and we decided it was finally the right time to get the ducklings we wanted!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I actually found it just doing a google search! I’ve had a few questions that have popped up and when I came across BYC I noticed how awesome and willing people were to give advice! That’s definitely what I needed!
