Hi, my name is Emily and I became a first time chicken owner this past Sunday of 9 supposed RIR's, genders unknown except for the one to two roo's. I decided to join BYC because I am new to owning chickens and have already found a wealth of information here, especially the RIR heritage breed thread. My other animals include four dogs and one rabbit with my hobbies mostly being dog training and learning how to grow my own food.
