Hello, could someone plz tell me why some of my chickens are laying but others arnt? I have 12 ladies, 4 coulder rangers there just awesome, 2 fenton blues, 2 speckled marans, 2 copper black marans, 2 saddle marans. From what i can see it seems 3 of the coulder rangers are laying and there 6 months old and i think one of the black marans are laying. I also have a mystry egg layer im not sure whos laying it. I avarage about 4/5 eggs a day i know its still feb and our weather is a little cold and on the dull side ( not much sun at all) plus iv only had them almost 3weeks but they are all very well fed and looked after they are free range in the day and have 1/2 acer to play in so i dont understand why some are and some arnt, all the others apart from the coulder rangers are around 7/8 months old so iv been told. Can you tell a chickens age???? Any help would be fab cheers guys x
