I am excited about backyardchickens.com. I am here to gain some insight to incubating duck eggs, Mandarin ducks to be precise, as a special edition to my Japanese garden pond..
I was raised a farm girl having chickens and collecting eggs but today, I am more focused in gardening with a flair living in northern Michigan.
Any suggestions for beginners in egg incubating

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

I have never hatched shipped duck eggs, but I have hatched other poultry eggs that were shipped. Shipping is hard on eggs but you can usually count on a 50 to 60% hatch rate.

Stop by our Ducks section for more help getting started, storing your eggs before hatching and how to live through the entire process!! :D https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/ducks.42/

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our group!

Hello and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

This is a useful link of BYC guides to take a look at announcements-feedback-issues-guides.3 I’d suggest including your location using the guide in the link. You can use this link to contact members in your area - Find your State's thread.

Best wishes
