Hello everyone...I'm Cara and my sister Wessla and I have decided to try our hands in farming/homesteading. We have a variety of different chickens....my sister knows all of the different breeds (and we have many) but my favorite are the Lavender Orpington's. We started this in the midst of the pandemic so that we can be more self sustaining for our own families. We are very family oriented, we have most of our meals with everyone and usually at mom's house, since we all live very close to one another it does make it easier. This keeps the family close and our new adventure has proven that two sister's putting their heads together....can do anything!

I'm envious that your family is so close by, but chickens can help span the divide for folks like myself who live hours away. I love checking in with my mom to see what her birds are up to.
