Hello all... I am a reluctant owner of 6 new chicks. about 3 weeks. Wife insisted we get chickens.. and well, when she insists, she gets.
Got a photo on my phone at work of the chicks in the house. That's how I was notified of their purchase...

Anyway this site has been a big help, and many of you have PM'd me already answering many of my questions, as I plan to start building the coop this weekend,
as the "girls" are QUICKLY outgrowing the 55 gal fish tank.

Would love to hear from some fellow New Englanders to insure I build my coop properly to deal with our Humid summers and Nasty winters...

But, thank you to all who have contacted me.

Can't help you with coop design for a cold climate since I live in a very temperate climate. But I would like to welcome you. Perhaps if you check out the "Coop" topic, you'll find ideas there for cold climates. Best of luck with your new project and......

I'm from Mass.
Just be sure the coop is well insulated and ventilated, dry bedding esp in winter.
