Hi! My name is Cami. My 1st set of chicks are 4 weeks old today. I have 17 with 3 more on the way. Currently I have 1 Polish Rooster, 1 Blue Silkie, 2 Buff Silkie's, 2 Red Star's, 1 Black Star, 2 Brahma Bantam Buff's, 3 Golden Laced Wyandotte's, 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 4 Brown Leghorns...on the way I have 1 Polish Gold, 1 White Silkie & 1 Black Sumatra.

I'm raising chickens for pleasure & for eggs...I will never allowed them to used for meat. They're my babies. LOL!

I found BackYardChickens originally through MyPetChicken.com, which is where I got both my crib & my day-old chicks.

I'm married & we have a 17-year old daughter & a 15-year old son. We raise & breed German Shorthaired Pointers. I'm disabled - I have multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia & lupus, but most days I'm funtional, albeit a little slow to get moving in the mornings & foggy brained. LOL!

Hoping to get to know other people raising chickens...and learn some things! LOL! I'll post pictures of my chicks, coop & play yard soon...right now I need to get to work! LOL!
