Our plans have changed.... sort of.

First of all I have joined with a high school friend and made an order for chicks to be delivered March 10th.

Secondly, we will not be remodeling the gazebo. A few years ago my father made a neat coop for pheasants. It's on runners that can be pulled via lawn tractor, has ventilation, etc. We'll be bringing it to our house via the trailer. I am already planning on adding some outside nesting boxes and am plotting how to enclose the chicken run. I figure that's a cheap way to get started and I can always build from scratch if the hubby doesn't have me comitted! LOL!

I have probably ordered too many chix... 10 (yikes!)... and although I never had problems in the past, I figured I'd get a few extra. Worse case scenario I can possibly sell off a few before next winter.
