I grew up on a small farm, and had a small flock (10 to 20) of chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Now that I have my own hobby farm (6.5 acres), I wanted to get chickens and ducks. The stars aligned and a friend of mine had to get rid of her two khaki Campbells and 5 chickens. Then another friend moved and I took in her 2 chickens. I love my new flock. We bought 2 more Cayugas and 4 more white and fawn runners. I love my girls ( and I think 2 drakes of the bunch we bought). They follow me around when we get home. Sometimes I have to watch when I turn around because there’s one that’s always right there. The adults all have names and my husband just rolls his eyes but he puts up with it. :). We also have 2 quarter horses, a Belgian, and a coonhound. These guys are my fulfillment of my fur and feather babies. I am glad to be a part of this group!

Maybe someday your Quarter horses will become full 100% horses someday. But 1/4 is better than 0 :D
