Hi,just joined the forum as i have recently decided to get involved with chickens and am interested in how others are doing it.
I have 19 girls, 12 light sussex 1 brahma, 3 pure frizzles 1 frizzlexbantam 1 bluebell and an unknown 2 egg lay bird thats four years old. I will post a pic of her as im sure someone will know what she is.
I keep them in two groups, the light sussex are the main layers and are in one area of the garden and the rest are free roaming in the garden.

Hi :welcome I have never heard of a 2 egg lay bird lol but we all are here to learn something new! :) I will be following to try to find out what she is also...

I have not heard of a bird that lays two eggs a day - I'm assuming you mean everyday. Maybe another bird uses the same next box. Chickens often do that, and sometimes steal eggs from one another. It's especially unusual for a 4 year old chicken to be doing that. I'm sure she would go down in the Guinness book of records if it can be substantiated.
