Hello and welcome to BYC, You found an Amazing Poultry Community to be a part of with many great knowledgeable members, who are more then willing to jump in and help you along your journey with any questions you may have.
Appreciate your concern and comment. I don't have a fenced in property. The chicken tractor is actually much heavier than I thought. I can barely lift it to pull it around. I have to lean back to drag it. Hubby just added some wheels yesterday but I saw this morning it lifts it at one end a few inches so I'm going to add some wire fence "skirting" there. I only take them out for a couple of hours a day and keep close watch. They are usually in the side paddock which is mostly fenced or in back of the house where I can always see them. Mostly they stay in the pen. I would never have them out if I wasn't around to watch over them.I hope you have a fence around your property, I say that only because of the weight of your chicken tractor, I worry about predators in your case. I hope you don't have any issues with them though. By the way, what is the weather like in Kansas this time of year, just curious?
