Oregon. I wanted to find a coastal state as I enjoy the ocean and coastal living so much. Oregon filled the bill and so much more with mountains, deserts, rainforests and a great metropolitan area nearby. We live near Portland in the burbs but also bought a beach house 2 hours away so I can get my beach fix too.

Getting our first chicks in April so doing lots o' research since last year. Have a wonderful journey in your chicken-keeping!
