Hi. We got our first 5 hens from a breeder last Saturday so are VERY new to backyard chickens! So far it has been a blast! I had no idea they'd be so entertaining!

(Reason I was looking for this site was in hopes someone could tell me if I there is anything I can safely spray on my zucchini plants to keep the hens from eating the leaves?)

Glad you joined the flock! I would suggest you put a little fence of some sort around those plants, because chickens can be incredibly destructive in vegetable gardens. They not only eat the plants and veggies that takes their fancy, they also dig craters to dust bath in, pull out smaller plants and make a big mess in general. AFTER the harvest they are great for cleaning up though!
