Hi from Montana!

Hey all!

I finally got my first peeps after research and much wanting. On April 1st, I came home with 6 chicks and am planning on getting 6 more and a couple of turkeys and geese.

We spent yesterday refitting one of my old husky kennels in the barn with snake fence, put a heat lamp in and set everything up for the peeps. I have 2 golden sex-links, 2 black sex-links and 2 brown leghorns. I'm planning on getting Americaunas next week for a total of 10 chicks. If they all survive, that's plenty of eggs!

I'm a professional general article, pet and Science Fiction/Fantasy author. I live on 10 acres with dogs, cats and assorted wildlife. I'm looking at setting up a more self-sufficient lifestyle and planning on a bigger garden this year.

Hi! I also bought two Brown Leghorns. Of the 17 birds that I bought I'm most excited to see how the little Leghorns evolve. Although they came from the same hatch one is twice the size of the other.
