Hi there

I have just joined, I live in a small town near Canberra the capital of Australia.

I have 9 chickens which are 6 weeks old, I have 5 Australorps, 1 Blue Laced Gold Wyandotte, 1 Plymouth Rock, 1 Buff Bantam and 1 Columbian Bantam cross.

Yesterday I moved them into their new home which they seem to be loving, they are such inquisitive little things.

After reading hours of pages on BYC I thought I would finally join .

Anyway I thought I would come and say hello

G'day - very nice to meet you Matt - welcome to Backyard Chickens. BYC has a large Aussie community and a grand thread called "Australia, six states and one funny little island."

You will find Aussies throughout the BYC site, it is a lot of help for example if you need a certain medication for the birds - the name for it in USA may be quite different than what it is called in Australia. There will be folks that can tell you personally what to ask for.
