Hi All
So glad to be able to join in. We have 6 Rhode Island Red hens +1 Roo +1 (hen) Lace, 2 2yr. old Standard Bronze Turkeys breeding pair if he figures out how to... so far not.2 pooches lol
New to all this learning as I go. One of my red hens is having crop trouble, never ran into this before! A little unsettling! I have been gently massaging crop and I have her on colloidal silver giving her fluids. Any other suggestions?? Not experienced with this at all. What I learned was from googling and this site... thanks to older threads I could access. She is strong and hanging in with me!
Happy to be here!

Hi and welcome to our community!

So glad you could join BYC! Sounds like you have a lovely flock. Rhode Island Reds are such good layers and have good temperaments in general, too. I've never kept Turkeys before, but have always wanted to.

I'm sorry to hear about your sick hen! I've never had a chicken with crop trouble before, but have heard that it is difficult to treat. Hope you hen recovers! Definitely post at the link Kelsie2290 gave you. Hopefully the Emergencies people can help you treat her.

Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time with the links
