Well I've been talking about getting chickens for about 6 months and my wife bought me a coop last week from cconly so we put it together then went to the local poultry house and bought 2 leghorns about 26 weeks old. Got them on Friday and then Saturday morning we had our first egg and another around 6 PM also another this morning(Sunday). My 3 grandsons just love helping take care of them they are 4,4 and 20 mo all boys. We are getting 2 more chickens at the end of next week not sure what kind. BYC has been very informative I would never have made the leap without all the information I have gotten from BYC.
