I've been lurking around this site for years and finally got back into backyard chickens! We have 3 female RIR, now about 27 weeks old. They are Minny Jackson, Miss Skeeter & Aibileen

I don't remember chickens being as interesting or challenging when I had them before (20+years ago)! My husband says it is because we didn't have the internet then. I think that must be true!

I would like to have more; but our city ordinance says 2 - so we're already past the limit. With this horrible heat wave - I am already worried about keeping these few safe! We are lucky to have a lot of shade available for them.
