Hi guys! I'm Kevin and I'm a newbie at this forum.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I am almost a newbie, got my first one this year
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 10
(3) What breeds do you have? Only Barnevelders
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fresh eggs
Besides that, taking care of chickens relaxes me and my family. I like watching how they live, what are they doing.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I like gardening, reading books, cooking. We have a small pond at our backyard and I like to feed our koi there.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was searching for some forums where people can discuss all the backyard stuff. Your forum was on the first page. It attracted my attention because chickens became my new hobby. Now I'm here and glad to be a new member of this community.
